Having an excruciating toothache may be the most painful thing you’ve ever felt. Fortunately, our Vancouver emergency dentist is here to help you get out of pain as quickly as possible.
Some of the most common emergencies that we see include:
Bleeding or Swollen Gums
Facial swelling or uncontrolled bleeding could be a sign of a medical emergency. In this case, you should head to your nearest emergency room. Minor swelling or bleeding can be addressed here in our office.
Having a Crown Fall Off
Sometimes crowns fall off because of recurrent cavities developing around and underneath them. Or, it may be that you bit on something that broke the bond. Store your crown (or “cap”) in a zip top bag and schedule an appointment with us at your earliest opportunity.
A Chipped Tooth
When possible, locate the broken off portion of tooth and store it in a cup of milk or contact solution. If your full tooth is knocked out, it may be possible to put it back in place. Do not attempt to scrub your tooth clean. Call our office immediately.
One of the best ways to prevent a dental emergency is to schedule routine checkups and cleanings at Ranieu Family Dental. Our dentists and hygienists will help you address problems before they have a chance to evolve into painful toothaches later on down the road.
